La nostra azione politica è sempre stata rivolta a perseguire la legalità e l’interesse del bene collettivo.
Abbiamo fatto scelte necessarie e pagato in termini di consensi elettorali, ma di fronte alla legalità non scendiamo a compromessi. Questo l’ho ribadito anche nel Consiglio municipale di insediamento della nuova amministrazione.
Tra le scelte impopolari c’è quella di aver avviato nel Municipio Roma X le procedure di gara per le concessioni balneari in scadenza 2020, ricevendo attacchi feroci dalla politica e dal comparto balneare.
Non siamo mai stati contro l’imprenditoria, anzi, abbiamo scelto di seguire la legge europea proprio per la libera concorrenza invece di quella dello Stato che prorogava automaticamente le concessioni in scadenza 2020 di altri 15 anni dopo che anche la precedente era illegittima.
È arrivata così la sentenza del Consiglio di Stato a darci ragione.
La proroga delle concessioni balneari sarà possibile solo fino al dicembre 2023, dopodiché non ci sarà alcuna possibilità di proroga ulteriore, neanche per via legislativa, lasciando spazio alle regole della concorrenza.
Questa sentenza rende onore al nostro lavoro e a quello dei direttori e del personale dell’Ufficio Demanio del Municipio Roma X con i quali ho avuto il piacere di condividere questo percorso.
